When trying to learn something new black and white how to's are a turn off. With all the "great reviews" this book had, I was highly displeased with the black and white pictures throughout the book.
Wish I would have found this one first; I would have not have purchased many of the others I have. This book covers all aspects of wrapping, from beginner to advanced, calibrated to freeform. Even has formulas for anticipating correctly the amount of wire needed, and how to compensate if your length falls short.
The book has beautiful wire wrapping ideas with instructional pictures that look easy to follow. Book in excellent shape and came in a timely manner.
As the title says, it is the bsics AND beyond. Definitely a good book to have for reference. This book has everything on wire wrapping, including excellent step-by-step photos and how-to's. Lots and lots of pictures and details on how to accomplish the basics to very specific methods.
Methods are written clearly and comprehensively. They have elegant, uncomplicated lines. The amusing little comments by the author throughout the book make even the driest parts entertaining to read. This is a detailed manual that is a useful guide for the beginner who has little or no experience with wire wrapping. The sample projects are what attracted me to it in the first place.
